The Digital Nepal Conclave 2024, held on June 7th at Kathmandu Marriott Hotel in Naxal, Kathmandu, was a notable one-day event focused on showcasing and discussing Nepal’s digital capabilities. The conference featured seven thematic sessions, over 50 resource persons and speakers, and was attended by more than 600 participants. These included representatives from government agencies, corporations, startups, entrepreneurs, international guests, experts, and media representatives. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Rt. Hon’ble Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ the event highlighted the nation’s progress and potential in the digital realm. A significant session, Power Samvad, featured discussions with Ms. Rekha Sharma, Hon’ble Minister of Communications and IT, Government of Nepal, and Hon’ble Mr. KP Sharma Oli, Former Prime Minister of Nepal, with Mr. Barsha Man Pun, Hon. Minister of Finance, Government of Nepal, also speaking as a special guest. The conclave provided a platform for senior government officials, sector experts, and various stakeholders to share insights and strategies for enhancing digital integration across multiple sectors. The event underscored the critical role of digital transformation in driving economic growth and improving public services in Nepal, facilitating knowledge exchange and fostering collaborations aimed at advancing the country’s digital agenda.
